Why Travel With Queer Connect

We travel with purpose – donating a percentage of profits from each trip to support local LGBTQIA+ causes in that destination. We create safe and affirming spaces wherever we go, and actively support the local queer community in every place we visit through our partnerships and experiences.

While many small LGBTQIA+ travel agencies and influencers resell fast-paced, pre-packaged itineraries designed by large tour operators, we design every Queer Connect Travel experience from the ground up. Our trips are crafted with intention, care, and the specific needs of our LGBTQIA+ community in mind.

We believe in slow travel, not checklists. Our retreats are rooted in connection – to community, to local culture, and to the places we visit. That means fewer rushed transfers and more time to breathe, explore, and just be.

Where we stay reflects this philosophy, too. Rather than generic hotels, we prioritize private villas, boutique resorts, and culturally immersive accommodations. Often, these are spaces you wouldn’t easily access without a group – creating a one-of-a-kind shared experience and unique sense of belonging. When we do use hotels (like during short transitions), we seek out queer-owned, queer-welcoming, and locally rooted spaces that align with our values.

Unlike trips that constantly upsell extra excursions, our trips include nearly all experiences upfront, so there are no surprises or FOMO-inducing hidden costs.

We aim to be community-inclusive. Our trips are designed for all LGBTQIA+ folks (mostly 30+) – solo travelers, couples, and besties alike. So, whether you’re coming with a partner, a friend, or on your own, our group becomes a chosen family.

We also don’t market to the party crowd. We’re not focused on wild club nights or hookup culture. Of course, we celebrate, dance, and let loose… but we’re here for those seeking something a little more grounded, joyful, and long-lasting.
